Imani is a screenwriter and producer currently living in Atlanta, GA with a penchant for building dynamic worlds full of complicated characters. After earning her BFA in Theatre Design and Technology at West Virginia University, Imani moved to Philadelphia to pursue her career in theatre. She has experience producing festivals (Fade to Black: Issa Black Philly Film Festival and Sheesh! Issa Blackity Black Joy Fest), art shows (Open House), podcasts (The Fade to Black Podcast and Home w/ the Homies, and web series (Follow Your Taste Buds and Agents of Black Joy). She is currently pursuing her MFA in TV and Screenwriting where she focuses on writing stories centered on identity and finding one’s place in the world.
